“As you begin to walk on the way,
the way appears.”

When I started writing my book on spiritual philosophy, I had hesitations around my background…
I’m not a monk.
I don’t have a PhD.
I honor monks, and I honor academics, and I cite both of them a lot!
But I’m just a creative guy from Texas with a kid and a tech job and a lifelong passion for comparative religion.
I’ve gotten some nice messages about the book in the past few months. Specifically a guy in California emailed me to say:
‘I loved your book and I really loved that you aren’t a monk… it made it that much more relatable…’
Let’s not listen to the false stories in our heads, friends!
They’re inaccurate.
And they don’t deserve to prevent us from making real, soulful strides as embodied human beings.
Speaking of identity, I recently made a video about my dad, Bob III, the Asterisk Man personifying a paradoxical duality. It was a real tribute, from the heart, and it hilariously got dozens of comments from women asking about his relationship status. He’s happily taken by angel of a woman, sorry gals!
His two halves that drew such adoration are:
He’s a Texas golfer who grills steaks, drinks cocktails and smokes cigars;
He’s also a pendulum-using, esoteric-book-reading Reiki master.
I related a moment I’ve seen personally. A fellow golfer in their foursome complains of a sore shoulder which prompts Bob III to set down his cigar and place his healing hands on his friend’s shoulder, right there on the tee box.
The moral is whenever we’re boxed in by society, or culture, or even worse, conventional thinking, the art of living is to step beyond it and embrace the multi-dimensional nature of our true selves.

The Spanish translation for El Pecado Original Es Mentira is underway, regardless of our failed fundraiser. We didn’t meet the goal but that’s OKAY. I’m learning. There are other ways to pay the team. The first pages that I’ve seen from Alejandro look fantastic, and I know it will be a beautiful final version next year.
Speaking of ways to pay the team, my mystic shirt shop is back on Etsy. Resurrected under a new name: Inherent Goodness—which is the real meaning of “original sin” being a big ol’ lie. Check out the new designs and old favorites here.
I’m beyond humbled to keep getting invites to podcasts. I love podcasts because they are a lovely excuse to have a sincerely deep conversation. While I’m usually sharing them to my Instagram, you can also find my appearances linked on my website or my Linktree.
That’s all for now! May all beings be happy & free.
